View Full Version : What you use
Just want to know what type of container you use to store or age your water. Do you clean of the slime deposit after a certain period of time?

Talking abt lids, i put a piece of cloth over my pail so nthing else goes in there.
For me am using a 2 feet tank to aged my water. Next is that I strongly advice you guys not to wash away the slimy deposit at the sides why? Ok this slimy deposit in my opinion is caused by some form of bacteria and not known whether the good guys or bad guys but they can be of useful help. As we all know chlorine and chloramine is added in the tap water to kill what, bacteria and other harmful stuff right so this slimy thing thru my knowledge will actually help remove the chlorine as the bacteria will neutralize with the chlorine. Notice that usually after adding tap water into my aged tank, the tank become less slimy, and the only time I know the water is ready is the slime is back, this is my gauge in knowing when my water in properly aged. Well all of the aboved is what I took note and observed so may be right and may be wrong, but to me SFSG (So Far So Good).
