oh man..

firstly my 2ft tank cracked.. got some cash to spare.. brought a secondhand 3ft 'ios' tank. then it turns out to be a underflow system. (forgot to check) aaargh. now.. my live rocks are left stranded in my buckets filled with my old seawater.

my 2ft tank just finished cycling anyway.. juz waiting to put livestock in. tell me..

wat shld i do now?? :( :(

underflow? u mean the water flow from the glass below? try see if u can take the glass out before the ios compartment. this way, u will have an overflow system. hope this help. :D

wat bout my LR?? how long can the inhabitants n coraline there?

try to squeeze in a water/air pump to have water cirulation. add a skimmer if possible. for what i know, some guys out there use this method to cure LR too as they dont need much light.

To convert your UF to an OF system there's 1 of 2 things you can do :

1) Cover the bottom slot(s) with a piece of glass using silicon glue. This will only work if the top of the partition is lower than the full height of the tank by at least 1"

2) Jeffrey74's suggestion - remove the outer piece of glass in the compartment, which then forces the water to enter via the top.
