I don't know how much he paid for it, he got them in batches. Among others were ext. reds, some royal blues and a gold/platinum HM, but it had wash so I didn't take it.
He let me have it for RM15. I think it was a VERY reasonable price given the nice pattern and good form. Still young, 3-4 months.

I don't think he's THAT great, Almondeye, but thanks for the compliment ;)

tis cambo is a very good buy for RM15. also agree with you that it's not a comp grade. almondeye's comment was just too diplomatic. ;)
beware of water quality as i can see the fins are soft. wished that the upper rays of the caudal are stronger and straighter. the butterfly banding is distinct though not even.
body is very clean with no visible (or little) black markings.
again, tis is a very good buy.

Thanks for the tips, cheekoon. I agree with your comment about the butterfly banding, ideally it should be like the one pictured below (pic from Aquabid). The red cambo butterflys I've come across usually have thin, soft transparent fins. This usually results in uneven rays later on.
I had a DT who looked near identical to this fella and also since I have a red cambo female I thought it might be an interesting line to start later on.
