Bro Chuck, give your fish some time, and try to re-arrange its surrounding and position. This A8 head shrunk quite abit b4 I moved it up to beside a smaller fish and in just 1 day, miracle happened. :)

Some lh is different. I have some that strive when sharing tank with others. Try to get a smaller female and partition it. This method works for me most of the time.

Yes normally is like dat. At first u can see its potential kok at smaller size and then the kok growth slow or stagnant at around 4 to 6inches. During this period, try not to shift the fish...at later stage the kok will explode! But most important is...SPACE! small space = stunted kok.

The A series only differs slightly in some aspects - body shape n colour..etc.
But in terms of kok potentiality, we personally experience this rate:

A6 - 50% (very average chance)
A7 - 80% (very good chance)
A8 - 50% (average chance)
A9 - 60% (good or maybe average)
A10 - 70% (very good chance)
A11 - (shud be similar with A10)
A14 - still new (no experience)

Since they are partially of parrot bloodline,their colour are usually pastel pink/red/abit orangy or a small percentage of them will even fade like a jingkang. And on usual case, the flowers on the body will be hardly prominent. But they are well known for their huge water kok head.

Probably some bro who ever bought A series fries can share their experience here. :)
