you can try Rainbow at Serangoon Ave 2 Blk 152.

there's a betta shop called Betta house in Ubi Rd 3. dunno the exact add.

If you are driving, you should go to straits aquarium at seletar farmway 1.

If you are looking for a true half moon, be prepared to pay at
least $70 and above. super deltas will cost you less about $40 and above.

for crowntails, there are quite a few types and it does affect the price as well.
single, double, four rays, king crown etc..
Crowntails require more maintainence (water changing)

;)

True half moon have tails that span 180 degrees or more.
These are very rare and thus very expensive.

Super Deltas have tails that span up to 170 degrees.

I do have a brood of 1 week old DR CTs ...

quantity around 100 ++ .. and up for sale ...

Call me to discuss if interested .. but do note .. they require more attention compared to adult ones .. but relatively cheaper ..

Pics of parents can be found in my gallery .. or

http://photos.yahoo.com/bc/chris.kim/lst?.dir=/My+Photos/Bettas/Blue+CrownTails&.src=ph&.view=

PS: These bettas r of high grade parentage .. but aint culled yet .. thus u r at risk to receive culled fishes .. but of 100 .. u still have 20% at least :D

Reason selling: Wanna buy 4 feet tanks ..

Hi zhi22,

Thank you. Yes HM line. My interest more towards HMs.

ogkff3,

i heard from c328 boss, their betta supply come either on tuesday or wed morning.

i was also at rainbow yesterday and they have some black dr ct.
price range about $45. they also have a very beautiful and big ct that was previously selling at $120. the price dropped to $75(row facing cashier) a bit old though.

yup..got myself a baby halfmoon red betta at $26 at C328..a mth ago...thats a really nice betta to me at least..too bad dun have digicam..orelse can show u guys some pics...

is it true that in the male and the female need to be the same colour?
if female and male not same colour how?

wah... $45 is way too high my budget..
me buying a rather cheap one now to breed...cos cant bear to let my halfmoon red betta to injured its fin etc when breeding although i knw its normal keke..

for starters .. I wouldnt advise any to go straight into expensive breeds ..

I would say some cheap CTs or deltas for initial stages would be nice ..

Do note that CTs require more attention .. for CTs r much prone to fin rots ..

Agree with Sotong, must begin small first, otherwise huge investment...!

C328 has cheaper version too, s$1.50 or S$2 type also can buy.
Didn't know that CT can easily suffer from fin rot easily...
like that must careful liao!

So Sotong, what to do if fin rot?
How to prevent fin-rot?

Actually, all long finned bettas are prone to finrot. Having kept both CTs and HMs, I find both are prone equally.

The only preventive is good clean water and keeping your fingers crossed

more on midicity's comments ..

clean water ... and ketapang leaves will destress and reduce prone to fin rots ..

For CTs have bigger tail surface area thus increasing risk to fin rot ..

Believes of individuals :D :D on the whole as long as the bettas r well taken care of .. they will do fine ..

Btw: BEtta BBs SOLD !!!

How much?

I saw quite a few normal bettas (long tailed ones) at "Predator Aquatic World" @ only S$5 each! :)
Some small black ranchus and Many LHs too!! (as usual!) ;)

See here for the address:http://www.geocities.com/lfs2002sg/JurongShops.htm#Predator
(next to JJC basketball court- Blk 541, Jurong West Ave 1, #01-1046)

But don't think they have as many species of Flower Horns
as the LFS just behind them; "Eng Ban Hock Birds Aquarium & Florist" ( Jurong West Avenue 1, #01-1054 )

They sell only Birds and LHs only!!!
About more than 50 over tanks of LHs there!
Why everywhere LHS???

They cost from the very cheap home bred $1 to the beautiful royal tail species which cost $30 but the expensive ones are not matured yet but the $1 one surely are.Hope this helps:D :D
