I'm using a aquabee3000 but not powerful enough. Should have gotten a 1260 or a 1262 instead.

so dats means 1250 which is only 1200l/h is not sufficient too?

Extrema will do a good job on CL650.;)

Read here for more info why higher flowrate is better

my 2 cents:
the flow rate need to match with the return pump's effective flow rate to get the optimum water exchange right?
Too high flow rate will not do any good and it will be just a waste of power.
Cheers!

wat if u jus wana use it to pump chiller only?
cannot be higer better rite? there shd be a max limit of efficiency rite?

The way I look at it:
high flow rate will be sure better than low flow rate. However, high flow rate = high power consumption. so if you return water are not taken up to main tank fast enough, it will be a circulation within the sump. This translate to wasting of WATT/$$ every second! So another topic here is how you position the chilled water and return pump.
Everything count!! so if you are sure all your chilled water are able to returned to main tank, you are maximising the chiller pump.
Cheers!

The recommended flow rate for the CL650 is abt 2000L
I have my chiller on a close loop in the main tank, hance after all the elbows and hose length I highly doubt my aquabee3000 is up to the job.
I also find tt if i use a more powerful pump, my chiller switches on/off less often ;)
Now am trying to figure out how to fit a E1620 into the tight space of a aquabee3000

is there a max efficent flow rate i.e if its above 400l/h its actually useless or something like dat?

400L/hr!!! Way too slow...
recommended is 2000L/hr, so try somewhere ard there

3000l/hr?a
nope, dun tink got so fast... actual flowrate shld be less than 2000l/h cos i still hav an eco-aqualiser connected at the chiller's outlet (due to its narrower diameter, the eco-aqualiser slows the flowrate a little bit)....
