Yr torch is suffering from the infamous disease known as the " ..." cannot remember .. :p :p , but symptom is like one head starts slimming and melting off , then it proceeds to the next head.... after then to the next.
The next rd if u do come across such situation , snip off the melting head immediately and discard as it will spread one by one very rapidly.
Are u using UV or Ozone for your tank? What is the current corals in your tank now?
For my personal practice , all my new corals bought are subjected to a Iodine bath of Kent Marine Tech D ( excellent pdt) prior to introducing into tank. They are then subjected to a repeated bath 2 weeks after in the tank. This is done to disinfect the corals , which imo are sceptible to bacteria infection , considering the amt of stress they bear. ..
Try this mtd the next time u buy yr third torch...

thanks for ur tips.will sure try again soon. :)
i might know what causing the problem now but not sure whether its really it.
u see,i just put up a loan orp meter, and for 3 days in a row the orp register 60-70mV,so i believe i'm having water quality issue here.
So i hook-up an Enaly running on timer 30 minutes every 2 hour, its been a week and the orp is increasing at a rate of 10mV per day. This morning its at 160mV.I'm giving myself another week to see if theres improvement on the orp reading or i'll guess a water change is necessary.
on the brighter side, ozone really works. My water column was remarkably improve in clearity. :D
