hi all,

just clean up my Eheim 2215 when i discovered some of my Malayan Shrimp living in the lower potion of my canister that is filled with Bioballs.

this is not after i accidentally pour some of them into the gutter  ...
so next time, LOOK out before we loose shrimps. ;)

Hi Runner,

I am sorry for your lost. i've done some protection for my cannister - put fine netting on the inlet suction part. i hope this would help in preventing it. Wishing you all the best! :)

i am using a surface skimmer with intake at the bottom as well. from the size of the shrimp,(almost all different size)so i have come to a conclusion that they are sucked in from time to time via the surface skimmer intake.

actually i also very lazy when it come to cleaning, just that i find the flowrate too low. simply cannot tahan leh. anyway cleaning is pretty simple the main thing is the motor portion, the rest can bochup one.

dont think that i will put in sponge or netting, i counted less than 15 shrimps and loose about only 4. next time i will know what to expect:p
