Hi all,

sad to say my aro died on me at 8 inch length (from 4 inch when i first had it). everything was ok until i went for a field trip last week. I changed water just before i left (2 days still ok). Then i heard it started to drop its barbels and had finrot. I dont understand why. Then i ask my gf to add loads of ketapang leaves. still died after a total of about 2 days. Cant believe they can die so sudden. Am not able to provide such but barbels droped off...what cause that man. Very sad

should have consulted those experience aro hobbist then, anyway don't loose hope, take it easy.
this is due to clorine during water change, next time try to add some anti-clorine solutions.
btw, are you staying in the north part - clorine level is very high in this part of Singapore.
sould you come across this problem again, you must immediately change half the water & add plenty of salt. Also need to add anti-clorine solutions.
don't be too sad, cheer up, treat it as part & parcal of keeping fish.

Sound more like an infection rather than the chlorine effect ....

1. how did u change the water ...using pail? ot direct pipe into tank. ( is the pail dedicate for the tank use? ot is it share. Same with pipe )

2. any new introduction of new stuff in the tank before u go for field trip.(eg plant/fishes/rock)

Don't mean to rub salt to the wound but u need to find out what causes the death so that u will not make the same mistake again.
