hor bro, you finally come to the end, you are really patient.:D :D One thing is very important that the macro shot distance of A40 is 16cm closest, while 995 has a 2cm macro shot. Honestly, 995 should be compared with Canon Powershot G1, not with A40, both are in different level. In specification list, the 995 is better than A40 (resolution, optical zoom, macro shot, ISO, ....). And, for the performance both should be nearly equal (color, resolution, ....). I skip Kodak, because I had bad experience on Kodak digital camera. You can check the followed link for reference:
http://www.dpreview.com/reviews/nikoncp995/page23.asp
This is my personal opinion. Anyway, it's still up to yourself. Wish you get one soon, and share us your nice aros.
Regards

yay bro thanks for the reply but take a look the link that I gave you , please look at the house pic , between coolpix 995 and powershot A40 why (I think :) ) powershot provide more better pic ?  or maybe the pic taker doing wrong setting ? its seems the powershot provide better color (natural and bright ).

bro CDM what is your comment ? or review about that pic .

I think the nikon995 technically is a better camera...great macro shot fuction...once a reference digital camera for comparision... at the end of day it is still up to you....read and understand the url direct to you by CDM....a great digital camera site. Hope to see some pictures from your new camera.

bro Angel-Death, I did check the pics in the link you mentioned. Yes, the pic by A40 looks better than 995, however, it because both are in different magnification. The house by 995 is bigger than by A40. You can save the pics of both from the site to your computer, and display both on your PC with the same window size. You'll see the clearness are nearly the same for both. For comparison between 995 and G1, G1 does win a little bit on clearness performance.
From the link I mentioned, it seems Nikon 995 was not in the production line (discontinued).
Macro shot is a big deal for the tank photography. My experience is macro shot is more useful than optical zooming, because optical zooming performs less accuracy than macro shot, although both can play nearly the same effect (close up shot).

No prob bro, hehe, got SR from your country, then certainly in return some helps in camera subject, hahaha:D Sure no prob for tommorow.

I'm using Sony DSC-F707, it's excellent, but honestly, it's over spec for fish photography, and some expensive.

Henrie had been very famous long before the ban lifted (TW), there're blockers keep importing SR from his farm. I got mine from the blocker. I saw many SR from Wajok, and most of those are very nice (except those keepers cause).

Thank you thankyou, does dark core means the green color will be less eaten by red color and shows better contrast of the SR??

So judging quality of SR when still small , deep dark core is important . does dark core means the green color will be less eaten by red color I think its opposite from you thinking , so don't worry :) :D

That was caused by the 7.5" pearl catfish (about the same size as the SR).  Guess the SR was trying to rule the tank and the PC fight back. The PC doesn't afraid anything including LH.

Hehehe, the PC even sucked LH's tail partially off, although got scratches on the body in return. Anyway, will remove the PC and replaced by a FF, cause the PC doing lousy cleaning job.
