hi CDM
saw alot of your pics in the gallery
really entertaining
i missed your postings on digital cam u using.......it is?
some of the pics i notice come from a normal cam with the date
do share if its convenient. Personally have got one cam for 300. The result is less than satisfactory even though PC world rates it

Thank you for viewing these pics. I use Sony DSC-F707 which is a superb dc though it cost a XBack. Those pics with date were also taken by dc (Kodak DC4800, not a good one). Honestly, no matter normal camera or digital camera, both suffer lots of failure when taking aquarium pics. The difference is a dc can delete those unwanted while normal camera can't. I have 3 normal camera (2 Nikon, 1 Olympus), but I never use them on tank after I got the dc.

Just checked your galleries and found two possible reasons for your case. 1st is the distance between the camera and your fishes are beyond the range of the focus (macro or normal shot). Check the spec on the manual. 2nd is the light outside the tank is too bright that deviate the auto-focus. When you see sun light reflected on the glass through the camera, the focus will be shifted to wrong position. Maybe try taking pic at night can solve your prob.

Bro, what is the model and brand, the distance range is varied for different models and brands. If there is a macro mode (a flower icon somewhere on the camera), the range probably around 10~50 cm. If not, probably the nearest shot you can take is no near than 45cm or even longer.

Bro, the spec shows the closest shot start from 1m. So, you won't get good focus within 1 m distance. Guess this is the prob.
