This is one very good camera. Was actually in my `consideration' list. But have picked another cam instead.
But this cam will be able to take fishes without any problems. Has a manual focusing ring on the lens barrel which has the SLR Feel...nice. Movie is limited to storage space which is an UP point. All in all, get this cam, do not hesitate, especially with your HALF PRICE discount.
hey bro, guess this is your destiny lor, see the conclusion at the link, and with the half price, where can get such high C/P value camera!!! Go get it man. Just have to remember the words of the review, and also note the distance range of the macro shot, guess you'll satisfy with the performance of the 602.

hope you haven't buy that cam yet......cause i have a older model of this camera, finepix 6900. The camera is very good ar taking shots outdoor and well-lit(suggest use ISO 100,200)conditions.
Cool focus ring very useful. But however there are plenty of setbacks:
-ISO 400 pics will have noise specks(little unsightly dots all over the dark areas of the pics)
-Slow Capturing even at high speed
-Ultra sensitive to hand movement(hand must be steady one)
best use tripod)
-dark, indoor shots would look dull without external flash.
-External flash not very sycronised
hehe.....other than these......its very much a cool, great cam !
Bro Bahboon, he bought a Canon G1 at last. For the high ISO perfomance, there are few DC that don't sacrifice the image quality when set at higher ISO number.

Hi
F stop aperture opening will be one of important determination factor in fish photography. If you have make a quick survey in dpreview.com, new model of Olympus mid range digital camera 3040, 4040,5050 have F1.8 which is unbeatable with other brands.
If I use an SLR, it will depend on your interchangeable lense. In this case, it may go even lower at F1.2 and F1.4 which allow more light into the lenses and that also allow for high shutter speed. Of course, when you choose a higher ISO number, it helps but photo would be more grainy. But at 400, it is still acceptable. If you set at ISO 1600 ( manual SLR with high speed film ), the grain makes the photo unacceptable. I tried that before with my manual SLR.

hehe, sorry AD bro, anyway, how's the new camera doing? Saw some new nice pics in your galleries, guess the new camera doing really ok with you huh!!!:D :D
As Derrick just said, the same happen in digital camera, it's just some prosumer type DCs have much better CCD which is harder to manufacture and is much higher priced. For some of those high end cameras, you can set the ISO up to 800 or even higher, so that you still not recognize the grains. That's what I said, the price mean quality in some way.

Work hard! Don't disappoint your aro!:D
U will need much more, but the art in photography is skill.
Just wonder what type of lighting is bright enough to bring the best out?
My digital (sony) is not suitable for flashless photography, & there is nothing much to admire if I use flash on my aro!:(

Ligthing is just an aspect of photography. Sometimes, if u are lucky, the fish may freeze perfectly for a moment for the shot u dream!:D
I think this fuji will make a good digital camera. Quite impressive technical performance datas. Wtih 6X zoom, 5 fps, etc, it will help to capture the right picture. Putting the nan under the water will provide better illumination, I believe. Wish u best of luck!:)
