My LH has a thin layer of white / opague film on its eyes....what is it and how to cure it ?? Is it slime disease.....there is a medication called anti slime and something.....(from a range of other products like Swim Bladder / anti internal bacteria...etc) can I use that ????

What is the cause ??? I change 30% of water every other day adding salt and anti chlorine also....it is also recovering now from Internal parascites....

brudder...check your water PH level...it might be too low....

I have it buffered at 7.6......

it should be alright at that level...could it be scratched from objects in the tank?

u running a overhead filter system? sometimes LHs do charge against the inlet tube or even dive towards the filter box above.

If both eyes r cloudy, e cause is more likely due to poor water condns rather than abrasion. Do frequent partial water change, add salt to 0.3% n increase temp to 32 deg. It'll take at least 3 -5 months to recover if e condns of the eyes r bad.

OK....hope its not too bad....just a light covering for the last 3 to 4 days.....will add salt and increase the temp......anyother medication ????
