Noticed white stringy excretion on the base of the tank of my 3in YT.
pH = 7.2 & ammonia = nil.
tempreture = 30C
tank = 4x2x1.5, water level = 80%
shares with 1 PNT, 2 clown loaches, 2 red parrots, feeder fishes, and 1.5 red (partitioned next to YT).
Tank setup = 2 weeks.

Can you please diagnose problem & solution ??
Cheers...

Its internal parasites. Try Metronidazole tablet n administer it orally. Dosing e water is not effective cos e medicine cant reach where its really needed, inside e fish body.

Crush e tablet in small amt of water n soak pellets/mkt prawn in it. Feed e food to e sick fish.

But there maybe another problem. the sick fish may not be eating at such a stage. Some affected fish will not eat anything at all. SO this method may not work.:)

Yes Koji-san, u r right this prob does exist when dealing wif very sick fish. The other alternative of course is to use liquid type medicine tat is dosed into e water. Wait till e fish's appetite has improved then switch to oral type.
