Fin rot???

Hi guys,

I need a little help here. I suspect my aro has finrot. There are black edges on his side fins and they are jagged and getting worse. I've raised the temp to 32 degrees and been using melafix for 2 weeks but it's only getting worse(esp. his side fins). My gourmis have almost lost their tails competely. wat should I do help im getting really worried:(

try changing water every two days, raise temp, add salt to every water change, and coppersafe!

Fin rot is caused by sertain backterias that is always present in the water. ( Aeromonas and Pseudomonas) Fin rot is a sign of something else being worng in your tank. This kind of infection attacs fish, who condition is alreaddy weakend.

have you gone trough the check list on the toip of the page?
What kind of water values dos the water in your tank have?
How big is your tank?
