Please help to identify this problem as I found out after I fed the Prawns to him.

Better stop feeding mp coz they dirty the water fast...... for yellow powder, pour until water turns slightly yellowish then stop..... don't use too much n make the water deep yellow coz fish cannot take it........

Update the wound part after I place a Heater and some Yellow Powder in the tank there are fresh comming out and he jumps some time any advices ;)

looks like early signs of dropsy to me. which is some bacterial infection.

jap yellow powder + coarse salt can cure liao. dont on heater. ;) as for being jumpy maybe is due to discomfort by the effect of the medication since its skin is in direct contact with the medication.

last time i was told to off heater cos the heat may "hurt" the fish since the skin already exposed.

another medication which u can use is BeFuran. but that will also kill all ur BBs in ur filter. if u use that need to move ur filter to another tank 1st.

Don't buy cheapo heaters... some people use cheapo heaters ... end up cook fish soup in the fish tank. :D

Don't buy cheapo heaters... some people use cheapo heaters ... end up cook fish soup in the fish tank. :D

last time have another european brand heater. i forgot to off the power. the glass also shattered after the water kena drained off n when i top up water. its due to the sudden change in temp cos the glass used is very thin n the heater is hot while the new water is cold.

all heaters r the same. the thermostat is at the top part of the heater where the dial/light usually is. that is where we control the temp. if that thermostat is not submerged in the water the power to the heating coil below will not b cut off. n thats how the water get overheated. thats also the reason why all heaters have a min water level marking at the top of the heater.

i think be it cheap or ex heater all the same. unless they print it on the box/packaging that the glass wont shatter even if u dont off the power. most heaters will have something like off 30 mins before u take out or do ur WC etc... ;)

jager also very suitable for fishes that like to bang ard. :D glass thick n wont break so easily. forgot to off power topup water also wont break.

Thanks Cucumber I did Yellow powder 1st as what Bros mentioned then I did 50% WC after few days and add Interpet Fungus in and did another WC the last time no medication lor :)
