i think both 1 kg type just as one is packet another is box , if i not wrong some brother tell me it packet from jap and box from USA ??

i saw a packet one b4 a y618 but its a larger version of biohome plus, read on the packaging that its for used in sumps and large pond filters, a 1 kg is abt da same price as the normal ones but only that it contains 6-7 pcs of the large biohome (its as big as bacteria house only shorter)

Just to share as receive a no. of pm relate to the 5kg tub.

Serangoon Petmart selling at $168 per 5kg tub

Yishun aquastar selling at $160 per 5kg tub

I bought the 5kg tub at petmart then receive a call from a frd saying Yishun Aquastar selling cheaper :(

It doesn't come with netting though, pls call b4 going to buy as the response quite good. scare no more stock..

By the way i am not related to both the mentioned shops. :o

how can BH price difference be so much between different lfs? few dollars i can understand. But the original distributor wouldn't allow too much price disparity betw different LFS. Doesn't make biz sense.

Anyway, based on box instructions, 1kg enuff for 1000 litres liao = 622 tank :D ... I tink me and friends here quite kia su so tampa more kg but in actual fact, 1-2kg enuff for even 6ft tank based on instructions on the box

bro, i din attend the tok or read those infos....

i believe to get optimum results the whole system plays an important role... products can claim what they want, but if the flow rate is wrong, the way the filter media is housed is wrong, etc.... its not going to work....
