The pic shows a male because the egg sac is not bulging like a female. The body shape is a males'

The egg sac could not be flat as it's an adult fish and it doesn't looks like it spawned recently.

Also, the spoonhead shape is distinct of the males.

hmmmmmm thanks i also thinks mine is male cauze i was told by one guy female have a so called bullet figure.

dude, this is your 3rd thread asking us to determine whether one of your fishes is male or female, first your crowntail, then your double tail, and now your plakat...you should be able to tell a male from a female by now. egg spot between the ventral fins, hello? overal body shape, female-rounded belly, male slender. it is usually obvious....

I think they are right, post your own pictures better... not nice to use other people's picture...

After a while, you can tell, by experience where the egg sac is and whether it is bulging with eggs or not. Got eggs is female lor.

After spawning, no more eggs , so egg sac more flat mah
