My planted project

Sold off all my tank as moving house. My new place is way too small for any big tank, thus decided to go something smaller and not too "monster" looking lol :D

With so many beautiful planted tanks in the for, I told myself why not set up a planted tank instead ha.

After months of planning, reading through all related forums and discussion with my contractor and fish kakis, I finally got down to work, purchasing all the necessary equipment and most importantly the customise tank.

Finally the tank is done and delivered to my new place.

Some details of the customise tank
Size: 122 x 46 x 30cm
The height was purposely request for 14" instead of 12" due to the 2"
sit-in onto the cabinet

Thickness: 10mm rimless
Tank maker: N30

Specially request N30 to do up an extra spacing on both sides for the inlet /outlet pipes and wires.
(Got a monkey at home, do not wish to see anything attached on the tank being pulled down )

The "heart " of the setup

1) 4ft Green element 32 leds 3watt per led
2) Ehiem cannister 2028
3) Teco chiller TR15
4) JBJ solenoid and Dupla CO2 tank system

Read so much about ADA, got the opportunity to visit Aqua Forest when I was in Tokyo for holiday last month and was pleasantly surprised that most items were much much cheaper than in Singapore. I became a shopping lunatic at that moment and purchased most of my ADA items there :p

Why so shallow? U plan to have plants growing over tank edges? Then u need to mount light higher... perhaps 1-2 feet above tank... mount soil in back corners to 3 inches off water surface... something liddat thinking?

My planted project

I like ur style... knowing exactly wat u wan.

With chillers may I recommend a suave of bolbitis tied near water effluent so u get some sway in ur tanks to make more alive... but to break for contrast u r going to need something else... I recommend Tonina species or m&m slightly off center directly under light source which in any case u r not going to plant buceps directly under 100s of watt of led power in shallow water algae be grow like seow on ur buceps. Get some pelia going also not a bad idea though deep but translucent green be okok.

Ok my input for u... Swee Swee from here on.
