Here’s a chance to put your selection and grooming skills to the test, as well as purchase quality Crossback Goldens specially selected by the breeders at a very special price!

Price : S$1,050/- nett per piece (include administration and entry fees)
Size: Not exceeding 8"
Payment terms : Cash only. We’d appreciate if you could bring the exact change.

Our Associate Members are very supportive of AFC’s objective of continuing education for our members and is supporting this event by putting out quality Crossback Golden at a very special price. In addition, they have also agreed to contribute S$100/- for every arowana sold, to defray the cost of the event and competition.

Open to AFC Ordinary & Committee Members only, this AFC organized Grow Out Event will end with a competition (with prizes). The competition will be held after (6) months from the last selection & purchase date. The actual competition date and venue will be confirmed later.

7. DreamFish - Mr Nicholas Chia

Arowana Selection & Purchase will be held on the following dates:

13 Nov 2010

9.30am - Qian Hu’s Café. Attendance taking, briefing and badging for all registered participants who wish to purchase arowanas from the following farms on 13 Nov 2010. Those who are not badged will not be allowed to purchase any aro.
10am - Wan Hu [Premium High Gold Cross Back 30 pcs]
11am - Imperial Arowana [VIP Crossback 10 pcs]
12pm - Pang Long [Absolute Gold 25 pcs]
1pm - Singaro [Sing Wild Gold 25 pcs]
2:30pm - OTF Aquarium Farm [Premium XB Gold 30pcs]

9.30am – Raffles Arowana. Attendance taking, briefing and badging for all registered participants who wish to purchase arowanas from the following farms on 1 Jan 2011. Those who are not badged will not be allowed to purchase any aro.
10am - Raffles Arowana [Singapore Gold 20 pcs]
11am - DreamFish Inc. [Merlion Premium 20 pcs]
12pm - Rainbow Aquarium [Super Brilliance Golden Crossback 15 pcs]

The terms and conditions of participation are as follows:

1. It is open to all AFC Ordinary & Committee Members only.

2. Only those who registered in this thread will be accepted into this Grow Out Event.

3. All arowanas purchased must participate in the competition, unless deemed unfit by AFC.

4. Participants who purchased any arowana must provide the following details on the day of purchase; Name, IC Number, Address.

5. Participants must be present at the selection and competition.

6. Each person is allowed to purchase only one arowana per farm

7. The selection has to be very precise, ie: observe, select and bagged. No reservation is allowed and you will also not be allowed to shortlist a few and then make your final choice.

8. Arowanas cannot be sold or transferred before the competition

9. No exchange or refund will be entertained

10. Any death must be verified by AFC.

11. All Certificates will be held by AFC until the end of the competition. AFC reserves the right to retain the certificates of arowanas who do not turn up for the competition for whatever reason.

12. Participants are responsible for the transportation of their arowana/s to and from the competition venue.

13. Security and welfare of the fish will be taken care of during competition. However, AFC shall not be held responsible for any injuries, loss or mortality of the fish.

14. The AFC reserves the right to cancel the competition in the event of insufficient entries. In the even of overwhelming entries, AFC reserves the right to conduct a preliminary/elimination round prior to the competition.

15. Should the Competition be postponed or cancelled due to any cause whatsoever beyond the control of AFC, AFC shall not be held responsible for the loss sustained by the participant, directly or indirectly, attributed by the elements of nature.

16. Once the fish are accepted and displayed at the competition, participants are not allowed to feed, tamper with the water & equipment or remove any fish from the tanks unless prior approval has been obtained from the AFC.

17. There will be no refund of admin fee/entry fees should an arowana be withdrawn from the competition for any reason.

18. The decision of the judges shall be final and no further correspondence shall be entertained.

Please also take heed that AF, AFC and ALL PARTICIPATING FARMS, disclaims all liabilities on any mishaps in case they occur. Members participating in AFC events do so at your own risk.

By registering to participate in this event, members are deemed to have read, understood and agreed to the terms and conditions and will be responsible for checking the Forum on event update/s.
