using a super charger as an air pump

Someone from overseas shows me his set up. 0.25kwatts can run many bubble filters but very noisy. Anyone in Singapore does this?

are you refering to those commercial blower that normally measured in HP?
if yes then it is quite common. i have seen ppl using 1 hp pump to aerate a mini farm
very powerful but the noise is horrible. not to mention if you are hooking up against any inverter it wont work due to big load.

My friend bought a second hand car super charger and attached it to a electrical motor with a pulley belt. 250 watts he can support at least 90 tanks.
