my very humble planted tank

Dear Fellow planted tank fanatics

this is my first planted tank in a long while. first since i graduated from primary school at least. please tell me what you think. it was only set up on monday. sorry for the very poorly taken photo. i was thinking of adding a red lotus, is it advisable? what plants should i add? any comments to layout? thank you very much for the help. all comments are welcome, both good and bad. fish have not been added. still thinking about what to add. will do so sometime next week.

putting more plants is always a good thing when 1st setting up.
one immediate problem to rectify is that your substrate is too thin.
you need another inch or 2.
some of the plants you used have pretty long roots.
also you don't want fert leech from the base fert or root monsters do you?
great try, keep it up :)

since u got a few different looking rocks, maybe by growing some moss on them will make them look more uniform and more natural. Just a thought

get another 2 bags of lapis (ard 45kg total).
leftover can use for small shrimp tank :D

as for the lotus, if you want it to remain low, always cut it before it reaches the water surface. after a while, the new leaves will "learn" not to grow so high.
