New Geophagus
I acquired these beauties recently thinking they were both Geophagus altifrons but... it turns out I have a new species called Geophagus abalios.
Here are the Geophagus abalios, notice no chest spots. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...d/CIMG0044.jpg Here is my male Geophagus altifrons. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v6...d/CIMG0066.jpg |

The fins marking of the abalios are very similar to the red head tapajos, they are not spotted especially on the tail fin. The lateral spots may or may not be visible in this group of earth eaters. |

My geophagus
Sorry for the delay but they are about 5 to 6 inches. I got them from a friend who bought them with some red head tapagos fry. He thought they were all the same species until they got larger. I love them.
