please comment on this newbie's 4 feet tank.
Hi everyone! the algae seems to have almost passed! yay!
with the algae problem http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y19...IMG_0143-1.jpg and now this is the look:) http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y19...h/IMG_0320.jpg whatcha guys think? i still havent found a nice bit of drift wood. still hunting high and low. cant find the piece i want. thanks for all the help and comments, both good and bad. misc stuff bubble count: i dunno the BPS. its proabably around 6 or more. its uncountable filters 2x Eheim 2228 fauna 3 oto cat 5 whiptail 2 pleco 1 puffer fish 20sth congo tetras 7-8 apistogramma cacatuoides "orange flash" fertilisation i just go by how the plants look like. its probably around 20 ml per week or so. lighting 4x 55w PL 4x 36W PL best regards FF |

I like the overall choice of plants and their general placement. My main worry is that the center seems pretty weak because it seems quite sparse. Perhaps you can try to get more of the same plants and plant them more densely. That way your scape matures faster too. The RTL on the left seems to knock the balance off a little bit. If I were you I will remove that and have more vallis on that side.
Overall a nice idea of a scape. PS: The fishes seems too many (I think its more of the size issue) and make the tank looks a little "cramp". Perhaps you can get smaller or thinner fishes and let them school nicely around the tank. But if you love these fishes then its your choice. Hope this helps. :) |
