need advise with my 10 year old Xback

Need advise with my xback :(
experienced ammonia spike last week as i removed some Bio media from the filer.

I have since added Seachem safe, will either remove some fish , or add back some more media.

my problem is my xback seems to be behaving wierdly now :(
Not sure what to do, could it be he suffered some injury or damage?

are there new fishes or furnitures in the tank?
is there something new outside the tank?

The arowana seem to be uncomfortable, maybe afraid of something new?

Those big blood parrots are very heavy bioloads, I would suggest adding more bubbling to improve water quality.

thanks its weird, nothing has changed except the Overhead filter, i removed some media and also interchanged the position, so the return is now on the other side of the tank.

i think i need to remove some parrots, they do make a lot of mess too.

but only thing that happened before the change is the ammonia spike last week, might be due to me removing some media.

later I'll open up my canister to clean too.

Bro Squid, my 7 yrs old Red, min min passed on 15/11/2017.

Its behavior was more or less like your xb during its last 3 months.

Refused to feed too.

Honest, I was overwhelmed
