Aquazonic Arowana Tanning Light

Hey bros,

I would like to ask, if I buy a arowana tanning light to tan my arowana obviously, can i double it up to be used as my tank light also? Cos my 5 feet tank super dark, and I hate it! I want bright lights! Advise please peeeps! :D

Why not? Most tanning lights are white and they light up the tank nicely.

I using 2 T5 lightset, v bright lor,

dun really trust led tanning, so ended I got a cheapo glass nan light t8 , and use Arcadia d3+ tube, proven.
They say cannot tanning long hrs ESP mine is juv aro. So on 3-4 hrs daily

T5 lightset = t5 is those thinner fluorescent tube , mine using 2tubes overhead light set, got 4 tubes v v bright. I using 14k white color

Glass Nan Light T8= nan just a underwater casing for single tube . T8 those fat tubes.

Arcadia D3+tube = d3 model w UVA and UVB (a reptile tanning light) I hang outside tank so glass of tank w minus off a bit
, Arcadia is the brand , just buy this tube the put in the nan casing. Use to tan. The original nan tube which come with nv use. Keep 1side.

.... Why dun just buy aro Arcadia nan tanning light?, I saw a lot review that the plastic casing every time crack due to plastic degraded.
So read the by the above combin better lasting.

Additional I got a QH miracle single strip led yellow in front shining at 45deg for viewing.

All above got 3-5 ft length...

Tips:
Come think of it, for me is lazy to change...
I will still get the d3tube set up w nan casing, for tanning. I using 4ft , cost me less than 2blue notes at c328.

Then go amk led shop buy, 2white led and 3yellow led single lamp
tie 2 white and 2 yellow together w cable ties to form a lightset. Then 1yellow in front for viewing.
4ft at 20 bucks each so 100 bucks total ,....cheap and good. (Read DIY section)

Yup if all black v dark unless u only want to see fish ,that's all. Else white or ivory base will be quite bright. Below is pic before I convert wtt..
