Good Digital Timer

http://www.arofanatics.com/members/m...up/image07.jpg
This is the best and safe timer i had try out so far. It was tested on a 2X250W MH (total 500W) so far it have not failed. It can be programs with 2 different timming of ON and OFF every day for the whole week (everyday different timming also can).:p

hmm.. care to tell how high is the price?

nim75sg 02-11-2005 09:22 AM

If I am not wrong you're looking at between $40 and $30 dollars for this reliable digital timer. ;)

flame angel 03-11-2005 01:44 PM

This is probably the best timer among those in the market. Sadly mine(DIEHL) just failed recently which last me for 1.5 yrs. The first one I used(other brand) failed after a week, flume of smoke coming out from the time which really startled me. I was lucky enough to be at home if not a fire might me started just like that. 2nd time I got the same brand & it failed again on reliability issue! At last I switch to DIEHL though it failed after 1.5 yrs, I still believe that itís the best timer so far, ;) so I got DIEHL again! Iím very unlucky to have 3 timers failed within a short period of time, it really hurts my pockets! All of them cost between $30-$40.

Use an external relay to wire-up your MH.
timer should last when wire-up this way.

Hi bro......do you think is it possible to post us a pucture on your Timer?
By doing this, we hope to get the right one instead buying the wrong one.
Thanks. ;) ;) ;)

i have killed 4 timers over 18mths for my 2x250s
now i have to get my maid to manually on/off...
my T5 time is still working fine.....
installing a relay will be a gd solution

nim75sg 20-05-2006 11:59 AM

If you want to have a good timer .. get the Diehl German timer.

chercm 20-05-2006 11:45 PM

how much is it ?

About $38 to $40 depending where you buy it from.

sherman 22-05-2006 12:32 PM

250 MH right.MH is drawing in very high current.
Those timer contact cannot take the high current loading.
To improve your timer life it is good to add a relay or contactor
Choose a relay or timer that can take the MH current loading

Finally i get to know where to buy a good digital timer
Thanks For all the info here:D

oldrookiesjerem 19-06-2011 06:42 PM

Bought mine from toyogo using for 6mth still in mint condition and it's only 18 dollar with daily individual timer

tropic 30-06-2011 01:40 AM

I use before from toyogo and used on my mh 2x 250w although the 3rd mh is seldom on. realize the trick to keep it last longer is to stagger one or two min before the next mh lights up... Will it does last me for quite a while after experiencing faulty timer before. I want to try the soundtech next round... Duno how reliable not.
