Advise needed for getting new rays

Hi all, am new to ray keeping, but currently keeping a pair since last year. Female is about 10inch or less, male is about 6inch, both from different batch.

My question is whether is it advisable to introduce males 14inch or bigger? Will it "rape" the 10inch female? , because i'm having some thoughts of getting another bigger pair. :D

Thanks in advance!

it really depends on the ray but majority of the time, yes the 14inch bigger male will bite the female. at times stressing her out.

mitigate the risk by getting a smaller male which is similar size to your current male will be optimal

its also a possibility that your bigger male wont disturb the smaller and not ready female if theres a bigger and ready female in there as u mentioned pair.. however in the near future when your smaller male starts to mature they might be a possibility of fighting between the males... All the best in your journey :)

Points noted! Thanks a lot!:D
In this case, would it be better if I wait till the current female gets to 14 or 15 inch before I get a male of similar size?
Else maybe I will just go for another similar size pair.

single females are readily available these days , rather u get 2 more females of 10 inch in size than a pair. this way by the time the male matures the females would be bigger than the male as well.

Size wise not advisable.
Unless u are the adventurous type.
