2016 altums

seems like this season no discussion here on altums... :o

onlyyouknow 23-10-2016 11:46 AM

I think last season also very quiet. Think fish keeping on the whole is dying. No more excitement and less people dabbling at this hobby.

Mr. Tay 23-10-2016 06:55 PM

The overall aquarium hobby community is really very quiet :(

Not sure whether is due the gloomy economic outlook or other reasons like not many youngsters taking up the hobby!

One thing for sure many people are expecting very cheap price if you are trying to sell your collections :(

yoAro 23-10-2016 11:11 PM

Any sighting recently? What's the price range for juvenile altum?
Any photo to share? Need some poison to re-ignite the passion. .

patclay 24-10-2016 12:23 AM

C328 occasionally got small pieces, packed as 5 in a bag

patclay 24-10-2016 12:25 AM

Now social media still got fish and equipment buy sell, quite active actually

patclay 24-10-2016 12:26 AM

I also recently bought older batch from hobbyists as they are more stable

Thanks for the info bro. Any idea what's the damage? Is it difficult to keep?

Those in the bags the ph would be around 4.5.

Not so easy to keep as they are not stable yet. So casualty is high. Price wise is reasonable

last Saturday Y618 just came in some, better call them to check before going.

KS Aquatics at chong pang still have many to choose.

Aqua one might still have some.

JZX have XXL size to choose.

Just my personal opinion, I like the approach of Bro Patclay in buying older batch from other hobbyists. Especially, if you are new to keeping AA or Wild Discus.

Although the price might be higher than buying direct from LFS, at least it is a safer way to minimise any casualties :)

Have a great holiday and enjoy the weekend!

That's a shame. :( They look beautiful, especially in that video.

Side Question: What's that fish in the background? The brownish-green one on the bottom?

If you are refer to the one in video. That's L24 pleco ...

SantaMonicaHelp 19-10-2017 06:40 AM

I'm referring to the one in the picture. It's right next to the tail sticking out of the pipe, lying on the bottom of the tank.
