Nice big tank bro with plenty of open space for the peacocks. Lookin forward to more updates as you start to add more stock :)

big and clean tank, well aerated too. always good to start simple, slowly add more livestock.
try to increase the size of the K1 box if possible.
as for your alto, looks pretty comfortable in the tank, slowly you see more of it especially during feeding time or fending the peacocks off.
thanks for sharing :) keep it coming

tks bosses~

wonder should i have a few more pieces of rocks:confused:

currently my Gold Lamprologus Ocellatus tank only uses sponge filter, should i get a canister or hang-on filter for them?

Adding more rocks is just like adding fishes, you must have the right amount and the right size. Good start with peacock, freddie is our pro for that, he can advise you more. Dun get more alto, stable your tank first.

Sponge filter for 2ft is fine, but wc should be more frequent. So small tank dun need get canister, if you want hang on is fine well, but for me i prefer sponge filter.

Fronts and Alto Tank: 4ft x 1.5 x 1.5 (Burundi, Moba, M.Blue and Comps)
Trophs Tank: 4ft x 1.5 x 1.5 ( Trophs Canary Cheek, Ikola, Bemba, moliro, duboisi and Tretos)
African Malawi Mixed Tank: 3ft x 1.5 x 1.5 (Assorted African Cichlids Zebra Tilapia, Red Jewel and Assorted Malawi Cichlids Bubblebee, Peacock etc)

wah my dragon's blood always chase my other 2 fish around...only leave the alto alone.

...how to reduce the chasing, add a few more in?

freddie 16-05-2015 11:53 AM

Yes bro. With only a few in there the aggression can be very intense. Prob add around 3 more at the same time of similar size but with different colours. Will help to distribute out the aggression and it should settle down after a few days once the hierarchy is established.

It's a good idea to use the cheapo ones first. You can always swap them out later on as you come across nicer fish. That's what I've done :)
