actually should use the 4ft for tanga and 3ft for malawi. looking at the eventual size of the fronts and also the colony of tropheus you getting.

Pls go to any lfs and buy some substrate....example coral sand or others. For coral sand it costs only $8~$10 per bag (10 kg). Cichlids love sand and will thrive in it.

if you ask me i would still suggest to switch. becos of the fronts.
the scaping is alright. it will get better as you go along. more worried that there is no substrate in that new tank, should the rockpile slide or fall, the glass gona get the impact bad |
