half land, half water. how to make?

hi guys. i got some mudskippers and plant to make land and water. i am getting some sand for it. thing is, how do i make a slope towards the water, making sure the land doesnt fall off?

its abit hard to explain. i am just afraid that the land, which is sand, will fall and touches the water. how do prevent that? or it wont fall?

well, i saw one guy's setup was he has a small powerhead connected to a rainbar underwater... then whenever the sand slips down it'll be blown back into the *shore*..
kinda like the theory for the beach, but getting the right flowrate for the pump should be quite a challenge.. haha...
it looks something like this... *Sorry for bad drawing.. just anyhow 1*

black part is the powerhead.. :)
sand and water quite obvious... :p

ah i see. thanks. is there any kind of sand or gravel that suits mudskippers?
any recommendation?

you can use a small driftwood to support the sand. i done a set up before for mudskippers.
unfortunately, only managed to keep it alive for 4 months.

alternatively. you can just use a driftwood for the "land".

use rock slab to support the sand and do the slop or mountain.. it will hold the sand from falling, but then, water part may able to use the pump method

Would making an artificial slope and binding the area with say an acrylic sheet be more feasible?Somewhat like how they permanently create slopes and paths in planted setups.Even shrimp keepers who create steps in their tanks, those ideas could be useful!Do post pictures for us if you do manage to create a place for your mudskippers!

What will the mudskipper be feeding on? Isn't it difficult keeping them as pet?

I had a post for crab scape. 3 type of ground: water, moist/wet and dry. Do a search on my past thread and it should help with some inspiration. :)

when i kept purple vampire crabs, i use driftwoods to create/cordon the slope and egg crates to create the land area. I've seen some people use silicon on the slope to make sure the sand doesnt get washed down.
