I always love white oyama background, can see fish better. :) And if I intend to have clear base, I would also paste bottom white so can see poos/leftover food better for WC. :p

pend too long this thread... finally found something of what i am looking for...
this is part 2 after like almost a month after getting tank.

part 3 will be wood scape with adding of foundation before soil and sand is added in... hmm....i wondering what type of wood to blend in...

armageddon 17-12-2013 01:44 PM

acquired the stones i need... 100 KGs of them... selected from a mountain of them.. :p but believe there are better ones inside but just too deep and too heavy to move... some of the rocks are like 50kg itself.. :(

http://i147.photobucket.com/albums/r...ps3jgozhxj.jpg

layout bottom of tank with preventive measures cause the rocks is heavy and tank is high... worried later glass break. so this actually works... cause upon moving first main stone in, it broke 1 of the egg crate cell... withhout it the whole glass base will shatter..

main piece, heavy piece of rock.... about 30 KG alone... and tank is very high... bros whom came to buy bucephalandras from me will know how tall this tank is thus moving stones in is no joke... have to use cables to secure it for easier movement... :o

What are you going to be planting behind the rocks? Don't look like your original layout leow leh. More mountainside shaded pool or waterfall lagoon...

ya. the ratio porportion have been changed due to the size of the rocks... this pool theme was the main concept i have wanted for this tank from day 1. just that instead of 3 "pool" of planted region and river sand, it has came down to only 1 major pool... front will be filled with fine white stones (sand alike) whereby the back will be filled with rocks than soil and complemented with BW. now in search of BW. most plants that is kept inside will be bucephalandras :D
