Just my experience on background, I tried a black Oyama and felt that the tank became very dark. Didn't like really like it and since the Oyama was badly installed (by me), i ripped it off.

So I tried those picture-like stones/rock which was gray in colour. Gray was lighter, it will not be as dark the black Oyama. Well, I was wrong. Took that off and will stick to bare glass. Though there is unsightly hoses and wires, but I still prefer that than those backgroud paper.

I think with darker background will enhance the fishes color especially F1 moba.

I put one tube of Actinic light and it really brings out the color much more instead of yellowish tank

You may be right, the LEDs is causing lots of glory too when reflected off the pasted background. Maybe that's the problem I have. Time to source for better lighting

The cloudy most prob is due to your new sand, haven clean enough but there is no big issue.

Malawi peacock usualky better present in brighter colour eg blue background while moba tends to be better under darker bg eg black.

The water is clear already. May try to install the background paper again but I'm already pretty use to the pipes and hoses now. I'll give it a go, if I dun like it, I'll just rip it off.
