30 Golden Arowana was caught smuggled to Malaysia
 
This morning saw in Malaysia chinese press stated that yesteday custom officers of second lnk in Malaysia stoped 3 cars and retained 2 male and 1 female. In the three cars found 15 bags of 30 adult full size Golden Arowana. Cost abt RM30,000.00
They believed these aro are amuggled into Malaysia for breeding purpose. As all the aro is abt 3 to 5 yrs old. And each cost abt RM10,000.00
From the press pictures Aro looks XB to me.

Even that value I think is under value.
What is the fate of the aro? I really no idea, I hope they can find a fast and effective ways to keep the aro alive.

Weird... :confused: Malaysian Golden originated from Malaysia. What are these people thinking of smuggling MG into Malaysia? This is something odd. Are those MGs stolen? If not, why don't they buy directly in Malaysia and do some home breeding?

They exporting our "xb" to M'sia to breed more of these "xb" to sell back to SG. How do you feel?

Beco the good Msian farms won't sell brooding stock to competitors! From what I know, everything now goes to China. And many farms are setting up in Msia so they look to SG to buy brooding stocks for their ponds. And after that they will export the offspring of all these SG bred "xb" to us, and China, and the world. Remember that the factors of production in Msia are a lot lower than SG, the tsunami's gonna come but it will be a lot of replicas of SG xbs.
