I was looking at the video.. wondering if he actuallly make it or not. Does one of them have to overturn to make it or both can also have their back facing the top ? For the last few seconds i saw the male released the bite and they are sticked together sexually. Just my thoughts.

Just got back. Found the female got bitten quite badly. Dont know how many attempts to mate . Anyway.. got to wait and see now.

Maybe mated already but u didn't catch them doing it :) is the male still chasing the female around or disinterested le ?

How long then give birth ? My other female look very fat also.. but no hump on her back. But her bottom belly like bloated.. he was chasing her earlier.. like 2 months ago. He doesnt seem to be interested in her this time round..

Good to hear that...normally they will pop in 3 mths time just feed more and take care of ur water and the pups wil be fine when they arrive.

Bro congrats that your rays are trying to mate.

Do make sure your female is ok. Some times in the process the females may get quite badly injured. If so , she may get stressed, if she is eating its ok how ever if she is not then may want to consider putting a divider till she is better. just maintain good water.

Normally male will be below.

Even if mating in the air or any other part of the tank , eventually will fall back down to base of the tank with the male below... u will definitely know how it looks like when u see it...

Try a variety diet & maintain good water.
