no worries bro, appreciate your help very much
:) |
very good and detail guide... I should have see this thread before I do my 422..
the measuring part was a headache and at the end, the base aryclic were cutting by 1cm smaller.. so when put on the base it will shift due to the wave inside.. at the end I have to use another pic of small acrylic as stopper to push both pc together tight to prevent it from shifting.. but no worry, I will try your method again when I do my 522 next time.. thanks |

Actually i find measuring tank without EOS and bracing easier but putting it in will not be as nice and fitting compare to those with full euro bracing . With bracing the acrylic just fit in nicely . :) |

i think mine tank is different.. my bottom bracing is at most 2inch... i measured internally.. and my bottom bracing doesnt go all the way to the underflow.. as shown in the drawings.. i went kwangyi was quoted $81 for the 2 piece acrylic.. but i didnt bite becasue no matt white.. only got 2 white.. 1 glossy opaque and 1 translucent..and have to wait 1 hour... so think go ubi better. |
I went ubi also no matt white for 5mm thickness which i want. Matt white only available in 3mm. I got glossy white cause buay lun. Turned out good. I felt the texture on the matt white. Its grainy. May have problems scrubbing off algae in future.
