Spot Algae Cleaner

Hi guys, I just got this Tom cleaning kit few days ago.

It came with 3 cleaning attachment:
1) Algea Scraper
2) Scubber
3) Debris siever

I found the algea scraper to be very useful I got rid of spot algea within mins.
for glass tank use the metal side & for plastic tank use the red colour plastic side. Cost me $9 only.

Because mine scrapper was also an expired Krisflyer Silver Card. But I lost it recently probably wrapped it in newspaper during one of the pruning and thrown away.

This gadget would be beneficial for hobbyist with larger tank depth of 2' and above. For my 1.5' deep tank, i would still prefer to use a hard card.

Haha...Singapore Airlines algae scrapper, very funny. The green color card certainly gave some identity to the word algae. :p
As for me, I use a 2-3 dollars type glass scrapper. The blue color flat type with a hard sponge at the end. Works well for me as those large type causes to much water disturbance during maintainence. Spot algae comes off easily as I scrub my tank every 2 days.

I use the white colour sponge to clean my tank walls.. in fact I use it to clean a lot of tings in the house, even can clean off wall paint that dripped on my veneer top! The sponge material is super dense so it is very effective and need very little effort.

Highly recommended! can buy from NTUC..

i think to each his own.

the long algae scraper to my opinion is good for those hard to reach places or some people don't like to have their hands wet.

but i have to agree that a card scraper is good (except that you'll get your hands wet) for those tough spot algae
