I did thought of that (using separator) but fries...
I did thought of that (using separator) but fries are just too tiny and they still can swim thru those gap.
Nothing wrong with floating box but such arrangement tends to retard the growth rate...

I would say yes if there is no aggression or competition with adult fish or over feeding that may lead to other water issue.
To me, the best case (for the fries) is by removing the adult fish...

also, fm Jas's pix, I find that having the flash positioned (the slim side of the flash facing the cam) is not very good for flash/light distribution....

I believed other type of sinking pellets might work too. Just as precaution, do pre soak the pellets before feeding.
