Good to keep just African cichlids in same tank. If you have added salt to mimic water parameter, most pleco usually will not survive long.

I do not have a spare tank for quarantine. Whenever new fish is mix with old fish(for some pleco & others with high temp tolerance), heater is use to acclimatize, increase metabolism to pump up fish...

It could be eye fungus disease(cloudy eye) due to bacterial build up in tank. Try doing daily wc change for a week. If after a week its not getting better, will have to use medication.

Depends on situations. If its just cloudy eyes, no issue. Discus can take temp up to 32dc, some even at 33dc no problem.

Increased metabolism open up appetite, will help fish grow faster. Cloudy eyes could be due to stress. If new fish eat means its settling down and less stressful.
