The on/off switch is really suck...if you manage...

The on/off switch is really suck...if you manage to press on the correct location of the switch , you should hear s a light 'click' sound, follow by the beep and the light induicator will light up...

No need to charge at all, once plug to power point, it should start working. Did u hear any beep sound when u 1st plug it to the power point? The on/off button is kind of hard to press..you don't...

Tell us more about the fish in the main tank , eg the no.of fronts in it, size of the tank etc..etc..:)
