bro, not much ferts needed. I believe your lightings aren't strong enough. Your tank height is 28" ? That's over 2ft. Most lighting are good with up to 2 feet, deeper tanks need stronger lights....

People boil them to help reduce the tannin, but that depends if you would prefer that yellow tint in the water.
