i find that they are extremely particular when they are young and im worried they get stunted if they feed during acclimatisation

when u mix altums with new fish or vice versa
u risk them getting sick from commensal bacteria from the existing or new fish

in my time keeping...

U might want to drop the pH a little and to observe
sometimes doing less is more

i would remove all tank mates / wool (keep media) / plants
