I think its ok for them to remain in the 2ft for...

I think its ok for them to remain in the 2ft for now as they don't really need bigger space to swim around and grad that you are changing pebbles to black sand..

fyi, i had never bother suck out the debris from the sand while doing water change.. because the filter is doing the job:D the sand have been left untouch for years
