Cycling of tank is for livestock. Of course some people like to cycle the tank before planting as there will be no ammonia but its not critical for plants

Yep most are black lava rocks but there some powerhouse lava rocks in there. However powerhouse one not as nice as they have a shiny blue tinge to them when in water

Its about one bubble per second. It cant go any lower as the diffuser is with bent glass to hang over the tank wall so the height is fixed

Personally prefer GEX soil now... maybe because their nutrient level is not as high as AS. Tropica plants all from C328? Or u made a trip to fishy. I try not to go fishy as there are just too much...
