Haha....I always had to flatten back the sand for those cichlids that mess it up during my WC regime. Shellies tanks easy to flatten but those bigger tangans that dig deep and spit out/create a huge...

Yes bud...2ft would be ideal for keeping and breeding tanganyikan shellies. Just need a sponge filter, 1bag of coral sand and some escargot shells.



TBH, 1 bag of sand takes about 10~15 mins...

JZX (Ang Mo kio) & NKS (Kovan) are the current 2 leading lfs for some of the above fishes (tanganyikans). A 2.5ft tank would be ideal for a colony or 2 of them imo.

Thanks for sharing bud....looks like will breed anytime soon if not already. Lookout for big pouch in female mouth. At least from the dance you can confirm 2 things liao....1) they are a pair atm, 2)...

Zonk bud....sorry but there is no way to tell how fine the C0 coral sand will be UNTIL you open up the bags. If lucky....will be dusty fine, else will just be fine...which imo is still fine enough...

IMHO C0 coral sand would be ideal (though Amid may disagree on this :D) as its fine enough for sandshifters even as well as clean look and good buffer. Also, can use that tray/s (OHF) supposingly use...
