24X7 is not natural, I think 8 hours daily or less would be adequate as it simulates natural conditions where the aro is exposed to sunlight. By having the light on throughout the night could disturb the fish's rest period.
Salt is not required in aro tank, they will be able to tolerate it, but it is really not necessary unless the tank filtration is inadequate or it is a new tank.
Otherwise, IMO, salt should only be used for medicinal purposes for aros.
