I see otherwise. It's not politics but mindset. No amount of education can teach ill minded individuals to be good. Such are not humans but mere dogs. You can teach and trained dogs. Sorry, it isninsulting to dogs comparing such individuals
Look at Japan and Myanmar. Their politics are contrasting but Japanese are highly cultured and behaved. Not obedient but civic. Myanmar, if we recall sometime back, after a soccer match in SG, they clear their own thrash (cups, wrappers) while highly educated Singaporeans are opposite.

Japan culture is deeply rooted to be cohesive and neat. Their pple has much in common in values and behaviour. That is why they dun accept migrants easily, if want migrate there have to change to japanese name and follow their culture.
Singapore has no identity.
