If u expect feedback, suggestions and help, dun count on it. Little will be forthcoming. You can get the other mods to help solicit some sponsorships of their section species. Like Sotongman, HYE will be able to get some plecos. TVR(David) will be able to get goldfish etc

Tell u what I did the last round.

1. Went To Lao Choon and ask him for the canteen area at Qian Hu to use for the event.

2. Ask Lao Choon to sponsor one crossback.

3. Ask Ah Chai to sponsor one red.

4. Ask Vincent to sponsor one red.

5. Got a sound system with someone manning it. During the event I was the DJ.

6. Think of all the games to make the event fun. Whatever game u think of, u find the props urself, meaning I go find half yard glass for drinking contest, bought from yahoo auctions, run 3 different places. Source for those shake counter that measures how much a person shakes for a dancing/shaking contest. Even the Bingo tickets I need to go buy myself.

7. Then u got to think of door gifts which Barracuda help to get from Polyart. I dun think they'll help again this year. That year almost immediately after the event someone started a thread abt Polyart, abt walking through the backdoor of Polyart and got some rebuke from the Polyart person. And a whole chorus of bad service, blah blah blah, postings in chatterbox. Of cos they have all forgotten that Polyart gave them the door gifts.

8. Then u got to look for the caterer. Must Halal. And the numbers keep changing. U start a thread to determine the number of people attending so that u can do the order with the caterer. U think they care ? Some will put in their names but wun come. Some will not put in their name but just turn up.

9. There are many other nitty gritty things. Like sponsors changing their mind. Previous year we got a 522 tank from Davidsws. The next year we dun want to burden same supplier so we ask another tankmaker who have been using AF to advertise for years. He said he can only sponsor a 422. Well, ok even if it is smaller, that's fine. Then later he change his mind and say he only can sponsor a 3 feet tank cos he has some surplus ready stocks. Simply irrinnoying.
