Yes it is true that England dominated possession and had more shots on goal but the finishing by the strikers were completely off the mark.
We see the defenders wanting to play forward all the time esp Mcguire and Walker and against better teams could be seriously exposed
Both Lingard and Sterling were really wasteful in their finishing through out the game. Rashford and Loftus Cheek did inject speed with their intro but again no finishing product to cap their game
With total of 17 attempts on goal and converting 2 (both from corner kicks by Kane) was honestly not good esp on World Cup stage
